Got a trip to Vegas at the Cosmo next month for our wedding anniversary/her birthday next month, so that's out. Was going to post in the travel forum but it had like 6 posters logged in..... :/ Tell me your best locations, cringe inducing bad ones too. Uh you don't just go to your ski house? Do you have a Cape Cod home instead/as well? gently caress the traffic! Maybe your private island retreat? Oh I know you could go into space! I went on a river cruise up the Rhine. Pretty cool to visit four different countries and 7 cities while my hotel follows me around so I don't have to pack every time.

People who go on about how they love spending their whole vacation getting shitfaced at the bar are not coming off as cool as they seem to think they are. Some people also like being on ships in the ocean sailing around riding the waves up and down, sea breeze, etc

there’s not that much up and down because they’re so big, but we did break our no cruise rule last year for Alaska where we did a week driving around and a week cruise. Seeing whales and glaciers in the icy straits where u aren’t getting without a cruise ship did own

Depends on a lot weather, size size, course, etc. it’s always there just not a lot usually, we hit a storm once and everyone but a few got sick. My wife and I went to the casino since it was empty. And gently caress, ONE MORE thing I have to book! Nah sailboats are cool too.

and now we live in South Florida, cruises may happen more since there’s last minute cheap rear end deals to go places from west palm and Miami. It takes away the rent a car, explore the island thing, so maybe not, idk yet, it’s just as easy to take a 30 minute flight to abaco or a couple hours to Belize or Provo so

Who What Now posted:Do cruises have wifi? Yes. You pay for a plan, it works, it's limited, but yes. Source: I went on a Cruise to Alaska. In Holland America's case it was like 150 bucks+ for a 7 day trip for like 500mb a day. Result: It was awesome but then I think about it and go "Why didn't I just loving go plan a trip and visit Alaska outside of a Cruise so I could see and do more?"

A Land + Sea Cruise. Get the best of both worlds. There is an advantage to doing a Cruise is seeing nature you normally may not see unless you're on the water.

Some guy I've never met but is very good friends with my bf had the decency to have a destination wedding at an all inclusive outside playa del carmen so I'm going there for a week to drink mango daquiris, eat reasonable food, and snorkel and faff around in cenotes. Its gonna be titties, cenotes are the loving jam. Also I hope to find some cool mayan ruins that haven't made it illegal to climb up the pyramids which I'm in favor of generally but I also really want to climb up there.

cenotes are good times, playa del Carmen is good too or was last time we were there which was when you could still climb tulum and chichi netza

Zihuatanejo is pretty nice OP. I went in October a few years ago and it was hot as balls so November would probably be decent. It's mostly Mexican tourists so its cheaper than other resort towns. Next on my list is Japan. Maybe during winter so I could ski. That would be pretty neat.

I'm going to New Orleans this weekend. Not sure quite yet what I wanna do. Friends are going to the ww2 museum and the butterfly museum, and my dumb rear end just wants to get cheap drinks at a casino. Got a Colorado trip in planning for October. We'll see how that goes.

NOLA owns, u can get cheap drinks at a casino if u want but also check out lafittes for the oldest (I think?) bar in the us and ofc get throughly wrecked on bourbon street. Make sure to get a big rear end beer to go for non drinking the wwii museum does own, aquarium of the Americas is good and sometimes there are cool ships near the river walk to check out if you’ve never done an air boat swamp tour, there are a bunch of places just over the bridge and that’s cool and good for Colorado idk if you’ve been there but there’s a fuckton to do. Garden of the gods, royal gorge, pikes peak, go find a gold mine to tour and pan for gold, red rock, cave of the winds, gently caress I could go on for a long time
