i know one person who made money on bitcoin he got gifted one btc by a friend when the price was low. turned it into etherium (i think) and sold that for cash. it was about 20k, i think. then he flew overseas to the uk, spent it all over three months or so, and now he's back at home, jobless and living with his parents.
