Johnsons a bit of a chucker at times too. I can remember one of his decent spells being rife with it.

Ashley Giles was a huge chucker, those averages can't be legit

I don't get why anyone post Murali would ever bowl offspin without chucking.

Who remembers James Kirtley? Blatant chucker, but still could barely get it above 80mph. You just used to think, why loving bother mate.

Didn't he play for England in some short version of the game? I remember sky used to always big up his one day bowling as if he was spectacular.

He played a few tests and ODIs in the early 2000s, then inexplicably got called up for the 2007 twenty20 world cup, probably because he played for Sussex, and that was when Peter Sussex was coach, and picked all his Sussex friends even though they were poo poo, like Luke Sussex and Matt Sussex.

"Kirtley was a surprising selection in the England squad for the 2007 World Twenty20 in South Africa, he was named alongside other specialists Darren Maddy, leg spinner Chris Schofield and veteran off spinner and former spin coach Jeremy Snape.[2] Kirtley played one (wicketless) match against Australia." Haha Chris Schofield. What a terrible cricketer he was an all.

Yeah everyone was like, stop picking blockers in the twenty20 side you bellends, and their response was to wheel out that bunch of no hopers

If you two are going to keep on reminiscing about poo poo English players you'll add another 30 pages to the thread.

I'll reminisce about great ones instead, like Jimmy 'Bomber' Anderson, who could today become England's highest ever wicket taker in all formats. My favourite was the time he bounced Chris Martin, hahah.

We need the full story on that. David Gower is a gentleman, there's no way he would chuck unless he was provoked. I suspect that the New Zealanders had been cheating, which would also explain why they didn't lose like normal.

The last time England and New Zealand played an ODI on this ground New Zealand won by 10 wickets so I expect an equally emphatic result today.

I had no idea the first ODI was today, looks like a decent enough start for us economy wise. Cook is poo poo as I suspected and hopefully we can tie Trott up so he can get a nice little 80 not out for his average while England limp to 200.
