Looks bad.

Also you hit the nail on exactly why Star Citizen itself can never release.

Once people see it and they can say "this is pretty much it... no more dreams and possibilities", it's going to sink like a brick. The only thing people still invest in is the hope it will eventually still become something.

Exactly. "Retirement" means nothing when you don't have to really work and can just play pretend while making a few million a year.

Some of my former bosses were like "I don't know what I'd do if I'd retire, I'm a workaholic!" as they played golf most of the day with their buddies and then went to the yacht club afterwards. They didn't see this as ironic or anything...they were the "idea guys" who made it all happen, and not just rich assholes who had money to throw around to start a company.

the best is that all of them lie about having several degrees and all of them lie about having a disability and all of them lie about "having to start out with nothing"

its like they don't see that having a family that has several hundred million dollars gave them any sort of advantage, no, see, they had some slight dyslexia or a cold or a foot rash or something and life was SO HARD at that one Ivy league school they went to and whose merch is displayed over their corner office and yeah they do have several degrees but mostly their degrees are in whatever the current subject is, and geez their family only paid for their college and they had to start out as a non executive for their father's company and BOY HOWDY was that tough only making $150k a year as upper management because Telsa's don't pay for themselves chortle chortle

I guess the worst thing is that they are also cruel and petty and vindictive and will constantly make your life harder for no reason besides entertaining them for a few fleeting moments

So with the carrack coming out, how are we supposed to find our carrack after departing in the shuttle. For example disembarking to a planet while carrack is in orbit. Are they planning to add a marker or some sort of beacon?? Because it would suck to have to claim your ship every time you want to go explore in the shuttle due to not being able to find it again.

Let me answer that for you, curious backer!

The answer is: go gently caress yourself.

He’s like 52 or 53. I think he wants clout and asspats just as much as cash. Many ambitious people that age (my age range) feel like they can still make their mark somehow on their industry (or community or hobby) and aren’t thinking about retiring for another 15 or 20 years.

Chris seems like kind of an empty shell of a person who lives for micromanaging and swaggering and pushing people around and being thought of as a big shot. Just having financial comfort from his ill-gotten gains probably isn’t enough for him.

I'm loving the transparency of announcing they have sold 10% of the company months after the fact and the transparency of working on something in secret for 8 months while the published roadmaps get eviscrated of content.

The only unprecendented things about this is the scale of the delusion by backers that this is all good.

Also, definitly confirmed that Turbulent's administrators Marc Baudet et Benoit Beauséjour own personal shares in CI UK, and not Turbulent owning shares in Cloud Imperium UK Limited.

It's a sidetrack but it's related. In that Turbulent/CIG cross buy announcement, it was announced that CIG had acquired shares in Turbulent, and that they would be controlling 2 seats at the board of administrators.

To this day, on the Canadian Federal Business register, there has still not be a single change in the numbers of administrators: https://www.ic.gc.ca/app/scr/cc/CorporationsCanada/fdrlCrpDtls.html?lang=eng&corpId=4060652
Same on the local Quebec Business Register: https://www.registreentreprises.gou...Service=S00436.

I'm too wasted to do a deep read analysis of the agreement which is basically an update of their articles of associations, but here is some interesting tidbits:

The directors are elected as the following:
  1. 1 director designated by CR.
  2. 1 director designated by Erin.
  3. 1 director designated by Ortwinn.
  4. 1 director designated by "the investors" as long as they keep a certain amount of share.
  5. Eli Klein serves as director as long as Infratrade is a shareholder.

The question I have here is, whom is represented by that "investor designee" seat. Is it a second seat for the Calders (first one being Eli Klein). Or is it a seat for another pool of unknown investors?

Remuneration and expense:

Having a board of directors with fullblown autonomy to determine its own salaries and expenses is really the way to go with the most community oriented open crowdfunded project ever.
