I kept plans loose - basically stayed at home with my boyfriend and told my close friends that our door was open all weekend if anyone wanted to come at any point. People milled in and out, usually with food/wine/  , and I basically just caught up with them and had good conversations. It was pretty much exactly what I wanted.That said - earlier this week I went to a friends' birthday party that was (a) a surprise, (b) disco-themed, and (c) a murder mystery where we were all given characters to play and clues about our histories with other characters there. I was a southern belle, which is about as far from who I am in real life as one could get. It was a super blast to play and if you like that sort of thing (which I assume people in here do), I highly recommend it if you're looking for a good party theme  I was hoping my Mafia expertise would carry me but, to no one's surprise, I got the killer completely wrong.Hal? Opop? Good birthdays? Anyone do anything interesting this weekend?

My birthday was... boring! Sort of like Murmur's but without people dropping by because I move around too much to have very many friends who live close by. It was pretty relaxing though!

No, I meant having to go down to the justice of the peace about a ticket I got and I find out it's not even in the system and also a sinus infection and the kitchen was a mess and just general ARRRGH. I always see losing money gambling as paying for the experience. The few times I've been to a casino I never expected to leave with any money. I was spending money to enjoy the flashy lights and loud noises of the slot machines and for the fun of playing the card games.
