They actually do own but Judgment owns more!

To be fair I've only played Zero and Kiwami, Judgment is broadly similar but in a more advanced engine.

I've not heard of that one but it sounds worth checking out

Most of the game consists of Ken and Batts farting around in some dusty little town and doing stuff like eating at restaurants and playing arcade games. There's also weird poo poo like Ken becoming the manager of a casino. They quite litterally took the framework of Yakuza 0 and slapped FotNS over it and it works. There's a demo on PS4.

I'm playing Yakuza Kiwami here and there, after playing the Yakuza FOTNS and the combat is so much slower and nobodies heads explode so I can see why someone would say the FOTNS is the best Yakuza.

I'm probably gonna catch some poo poo for this one.

The way Battlefield 5 did female soldiers is actually pretty loving funny. I can't bring myself to care about it because it's just a video game but when you boot up the game and it's playing some somber "saving private ryan" music with a squad of all lady soldiers, decked out in full WW2 grunt gear staring determinedly into the distance, the imagery just looks funny. BF1 also had lady soldiers but used some loose historical context for it and it worked fine and no one cared, and Dice didn't act like they deserved a pat on the back for it. I can honestly see why it rubbed people the wrong way in BF5. The way they handled it was just all around corny.

That said, the dudes who lost their poo poo/are still losing their poo poo over it are absolute morons, so I kind of hate having this opinion and have never expressed it previously because of that. Overall it's cool/good/fine they added lady soldiers into military shooters, but I just think this one specific instance handled it in a way that came off as kind of dumb. And it's not even because I demand "realism" or anything, or even have a problem with there being female troops in the game. They just kind of slam you over the head with it without any grace in a way that sort of made my eyes roll.

I'm still butthurt that we were told we were getting a video game about WW2 that would celebrate women on the front lines and the amount of video games with the Night Witches or Mariya Oktyabrskaya is still somehow zero.

I kinda feel the way about the all-female superhero group shot in Endgame. It's very hamfisted and corny but I'm fine with what they're going for (empowering all the little girls in the audience with the bonus of annoying all the chuds)

Battlefield has had a real problem with tonal dissonance lately, gender thing aside. It's been trying to have a ~serious war drama~ vibe, and be Cool Commando Fun Time and you really can't mix those two feelings together well. The way they implemented female soldiers is just an extension of that.

Agreed. That's one of the many reasons why Bad Company 2 was the best one. Lately Battlefield just seems to have a big identity crisis. And it also stopped trying to be fun.

A game where you can jump out of a plane, shoot another plane with a bazooka then land back in your original plane and keep flying should never, ever try to do anything serious.

I still haven't seen Endgame so in my head the end of Infinity War was actually the conclusion of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Finally a satisfying conclusion to a franchise.

Honestly not that bad for most levels once you've learned them a bit. Doing SASO for escalations is probably harder since you can't save as often as you want like you can in missions.

Some levels like Thailand are a pain in the rear end for SASO, but still doable. For the most part it's just knowing how to do an accident kill for your targets, and then figuring out how you can sneak around guards.

A fun challenge if you're in to it, but also not necessary to enjoy the game.

Everyone always talks about "the chuds" in gaming as if you're supposed to already know everything about them. It's almost always in reference to something they dislike. So I have to ask: what games do the chuds enjoy?

Are they all Call of Duty bros calling people gay slurs on xbox live? Are they all playing Paradox games and just coincidentally putting in a lot of time as Germany and/or crusaders? 4000 hours in Skyrim after a trip to lovers lab? What is Chud Gaming like???

They're the ones buying anime titty games, but yes they also really like call of duty and super like games with fascist elements like Hearts of Iron and basically anything with space marines in them. I've even seen dudes on the Frostpunk subreddit say unironic Nazi poo poo and self-identify as Nazis, so I guess they get to the end of the Order path and are like "why is the game pretending like I did a bad thing?"

I don't buy the anime titty argument though. I'm sure some of them do play them, and while it's funny to say all those games are just chud candy, it's also a little too convenient. I bet there's lonely dudes of all stripes who are into that.

it's quite easy to tell now that they've added an in-game SA indicator. The dual pistols at the bottom left of your screen turn red if you've been spotted doing something illegal or if you kill someone who isnt a target

then you just need to not switch out of your suit..
