Directed by: Mike Binder
Starring: Joan Allen, Kevin Costner

Has there really not been a film dump entry for this movie yet? What the gently caress?

This is really one of the most sensational movies of 2005. Mike Binder's ingeneously crafted screenplay is extremely engaging. It's very funny at times, but also very poignant. It presses our buttons. It tells us when to laugh, when to be moved, when to be shocked, and when to be relieved. The script is a staunch portrayal of human emotion. The characters are entertaining, but frighteningly human.

Joan Allen is fantastic as usual. Kevin Costner is a pretty bad actor, but he fits the role of a stoned, washed-up baseball player like a glove. The four sisters are good but nothing special, and Mike Binder is pretty funny as the sleazy radio producer.

So if you want to see an original, entertaining, and skillfully written movie, then please, see this movie.

4.5/5

PROS: Great acting from the two leads, excellent screenplay by Binder
