From my understanding it isn't a piracy check but the save file is bigger than the cyclo can handle right now. The site was up earlier today though so its probably just a bunch of traffic taking it down for a bit

Either i'm incredibly stupid or there's something wrong with the cyclo forum register thing. I failed the captcha 6ish times and ran out of email to try because it bans the email if you fail. Anyone else have this problem?

So they disable free emails that require effort to sign up to but something that doesnt even require registration slips right by? Sounds that a great decision. Anyways signed up now thanks.

Cheap Shot posted:Where are people getting the latest beta version of the cyclods firmware? I can't seem to find it anywhere on their site. 1.56 right? The latest is 1.56b3. You have to register on the website to make it show up. But you can't just use any email they have spammer protection and it has to be what they deem a "real" email. You should be able to download the beta here unless I broke the link.

Has anyone had any experience with the enhanced menu of the CycloDS not working in any game? It worked fine up until a couple days ago when it just stopped working for everything. I'm currently using the newest beta but had been for a while before it stopped working right. I'm currently browsing through their forums looking for the answer to my problem but figured asking here would work as well.

So yeah, it seems some cards might be buggy or something. I managed to just fix it by a reformat of the sd card and reinstalled the beta firmware. I'm just going to assume it was technology being special and call it a win.

New cyclo firmware out. It apparently has a new mode thats supposed to get past things like Spirit Tracks so it's finally possible to make your backups work without having to jump through any hoops.

I bought the Lucasarts Adventure Pack off Steam for their holiday deal and I was wondering if any of those games (Loom, The Dig, Indiana Jones Fate of Atlantis and Last Crusade) worked in the ScummVM DS and if there was a way to use the Steam files to make that work

m2pt5 posted:It looks like they (or at least LOOM, the only one I have) have the necessary files. You'll want to check the ScummVM homepage to see exactly which files you need for which games, but I can give you a solid "probably". Probably a bad thread to ask in but is LOOM good? I only bought the pack for Atlantis since the entire pack cost the same as that one game.

At least one of the bosses is invicible, you have to swap layers (that's done on your touch screen) during that fight unless you want to battle it blindly. I stopped playing on my DS shortly after that, so I can't comment on the whole game, but if it's your first time you might want to try it on another platform. I'll stick with the SNES version then since I still haven't actually finished it ever for some reason. Thanks for the input and I'm sorry for my lazy bastardness at not looking this up properly before asking.

My friend said some guy he works with was getting cyclos for $5 off some website so maybe they did leave since their card didn't work with the DSi and the 3DS on the horizon. It wouldn't be completely absurd to assume that at least. Just means I may have to pick up the next thing unless someone picks up firmware development.
