Jim Ross also did a sit down interview with Goldust in 1997. It was the precursor to the artist formerly known as Goldust, though.

GreatestLurker posted:When did HHH go from being 'Connecticut Blueblood" to 'Triple H'? Both gimmick-wise and in name, although one would think the two would be closely correlated. Late 97 when DX formed for the first time with Shawn/Rude/HHH/Chyna. It was a really gradual thing, the first while he would still wear his robe to the ring and still look like blueblood hunter with his braided hair, but had the attitude of Triple H. Slowly week by week things slowly changed. Added green to his ring attire, unbraided his hair, wore a T-shirt to the ring instead of the robe, and suddenly one week the announcers said something along the lines of "And we understand Hunter Hearst Helmsley wants to be known as Triple H now", and yeah bit by bit he transformed.

I remember one Raw where Jericho was literally reduced to shovelling dog poo poo backstage while Steph/HHH were off doing more important things. Terrible. -Also, putting HHHvSTEPHANIE w/ jericho on last was such a bad idea. My immediate thought of WM18 is Hogan/Rock, half the time I forget HHH/Jericho was even a thing on the same card. 21 Hoot Salute fucked around with this message at 04:24 on Jun 19, 2013 |

I can see why WCW did it once, they're the company that puts on goofy overbooked gimmick matches, but how do you look at a clusterfuck like that and decide "OK cool, let's do this again next year"? In true WCW fashion, they ran it 4 years in a row from 95-98

WM9 always get an OK from me because of the amazing atmosphere they were able to create WM15 was pretty poo poo and the Russoiest of Wrestlemanias. Meaningless short matches, a terrible but morbidly funny boxing match and not one but two turns by Chyna

My favorite part of this is that Hebner brought the WWF belt in too early to hand to Warrior, and Warrior awkwardly grabs the IC title instead. Hebner offscreen sneaks it back outside so Hogan can go outside and grab it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BfqV3xI8l_s At 1:57

I wonder what the Miz vs Cena WM main event would've looked like if it hadn't become THE ROCK vs. JOHN CENA feat wwe champ the miz Miz had a legit awesome late 2009 and 2010 and was putting out the promos of his career and then it all went downhill. His wrestling sucked as usual but his character at the time was great. Don't forget we voted him Champ of the Year 2010
