Mango is still puking every day and his specialist vet appointment isn't for 2 weeks so I'm literally going to buy a nutri-bullet specifically for blending up catfood into a soup to try to give him something he can keep down.

August is a good day for gotcha anniversaries which reminds me: I think it was around Aug 20th 13 years ago that I brought Lulu and Dexter home. Unfortunately I seemed to have lost just about all photos from then in a drive crash so this one of Dexter is what I have left.

aah tiny lulu and dexter! babies Peridot's fur has grown enough that she kinda looks like a shorthair cat with a big head rather than a plucked chicken with a big head. She still curls up on my lap every night though

The catfood soup seems to be helping. Much less puke (though not zero) and he seems to be a bit more energetic today. Hopefully the trend continues until the 9th when he has his specialist appointment.

Flint passed away just after midnight on Thursday from heart failure. My fiance and I were both with him for the full day where he went thru the greatest hits of Flint -- hanging out in a new box, eating food on the cat tree perch, napping in a nice sunny window ledge, cuddling with his mom, tolerating only so many hugs from me, getting kisses from Moo. His 15th birthday was sometime in July. Our stripey raccon good boy was just about the best friend anyone could have. Moo, who hates all other animals, even succumbed to his warmth and kind, curmudgeonly charm. She is doing alright. His passing was extremely sudden but afforded us enough time to have a proper good bye where he slipped off while being comforted in a loving embrace. It was a joy knowing Flint. I mourn the loss of my friend.
