hey fellow posters im moving soon and im getting a catte im gonna adopt one from the local shelter so i figure i'd ask the toxoplasmosis thread to help me pick one this site, apart from a flashback to TYOOL 1998, show the list of available cattes. Preferably one that say "Steriel: ja" so i dont have to get it spayed: http://www.dierenasielgent.be/products.asp?language=nl&productgroupid=3&subgroupid=60014 its six weeks before i move so a lot of those kitties will be dead by then, so update regularly!

think the cat thread is the best place for this: i just found this cute lil fucker in my home what do i do with it? i know the reasonable thing is to kill it bc its a pest but it prolly wandered in here from somewhere else (first time ive ever seen one + never found droppings or chewed-on food) it looks old enough to look after itself so just put it somewhere outside i guess?

goddammit kitty wont eat right. ever since i got her she's only eaten a single bowl of dry food (that i wetted a bit) and apart from that all she wants is hand fed treats, and today she had a bunch of cat milk that i had to feed her with a pipette. calling my sister this evening to see what's up.

soo kitty was doing really bad this morning, completely catatonic, so i got an emergency appointment at the vet. turns out her vaccinations and sterilization were waaaayyy too close from eachother and she had mad internal infections giving her a 40.6° fever (38° is normal). he gave her two shots and half an hour later she was fine, eating, all running around the house n poo poo now i have the pleasure of giving her antibiotics for the next 6 days and sticking a thermometer up her bum twice a day. seemed easy enough at the vet's but that's when she was all lethargic, i bet its gonna be fun when she's her old hyperactive self

cat's fever is completely gone! but i think something in our relationship has changed forever because i stuck something up her butthole o i also noticed in her vaccination booklet that she's got a name: cloe. maybe i'll just keep that one.

uh i got a less fun new cat owner story: cloe licked up (i think) some of the liquid in the anti-mosquito thingy and puked up a storm on the carpet. i checked it out and it's not lethal but she'll be sick for a few hours
