Hello, I am Secrios, an animator / showrunner for the web series "The Obsidian Archives" on YouTube. The series straddles the line between animatic and comic dub for long form story telling, making the most of very little. The story takes place in an post-industrial fantasy universe, dominated by an evil emperor and his Orwellian lackies. You experience the story through the eyes of a curator trying to learn the last fragments of honest information left in the empire. So YouTube has had a history of having animators run on a treadmill for the algorithm, in spite of the fact that most animation takes time. Fortunately I found animators getting more success making shorts.
