Ok, what's this I hear about Elmo's puppeteer apparently having a sexual relationship with a teenage boy?!

Elmo's puppeteer is a gay man who had a relationship some years ago with, who he says, was a man of legal age. However, the accuser says he was 16 at the time of the relationship. Sesame Street looked into it, and they found no evidence of an under-age relationship ever occurring. The only thing they found was that he was using company computers to send e-mails, wrote him up for misconduct use of the Internet, and then allowed him to take his own personal short leave. They didn't fire him or anything like that, just allowed to take some time off before people tried to drag his name through the mud.

Long short story: Sesame Street ruled he did nothing wrong and that it was false accusations.

Rest assured, this owns. I don't even watch this generation of Power Rangers, but holy poo poo, this is cool. I knew I was in for something special when they did Abbey Road at the beginning, and the green ranger didn't have his boots on.

Also, holy poo poo. Bulk? Is he still doing this poo poo? Or did they just bring him in for this?

edit: Wikipedia tells him that he just came back to the show in 2011 after being gone 1999, and that he does some animation direction here and there. So, it's cool he's landing work. Also, he's best friends with Jason Narvy (Skull), so that's pretty :3:.

I watch this every time it's posted and each time I'm a little sad the MMPR team doesn't get more focus. But then I realize that it's just another season of this stuff over in Japan, not some grand beginning to the franchise.

Also, holy crap, some of those Ranger designs would've translated terribly to American audiences. Because I don't think every one of those incarnations has made it's way to the States, right?

Oh my god, that post is hilarious. I especially loved the "I hope it's on PBS" part. Yes, it would work great there. Curious George, Thomas the Tank Engine, Sesame Street, and then a preteen-aimed action cartoon.

Regardless of the show's quality, it's a progressive step forward. From what the article says it seems like the characters will just be parents who happen to be a lesbian couple. This is good because it'll show children at an early age that same-sex couples are no different from their families, they have play-dates, they have kids of their own, and they engage in story-lines that are devoid of mentioning the fact that they are gay.

Netflix has the first two seasons of Digimon Adventure both subbed and dubbed. Hulu has just the first season. Or maybe it's the other way around, but I think I'm right.

I just finished a binge of seasons 1 and 2, and it wasn't bad. It's interesting to watch it because it came out at a time when anime was so cut for young audiences that things could really change. A character would "die", but the music and character's reactions would seem like they did. Also, watch the occasional episode of the Japanese subbed version after you watch the episode in English. It's cool to see the differences sometimes. And I will admit, there was the occasional line that got a laugh out of me.

That show tackled some issues. It had adoption, divorce, sibling death. Digimon died, yo. Though, really they would be reborn later.

For a while my wife had work super-early and when I got back from taking her I would always check out those same lovely animes. None of them made any sense and the only real differences was whatever the show's signature collectable was. The one I remember most was Bakugan and, even after the surprising amount of episodes I saw, that I had no loving clue how that game was supposed to work.

Johnny Test is definitely not the standard for CN. Sure, it suckage may count for a great deal. But there's Adventure Time, Regular Show, Amazing World of Gumball, Uncle Grandpa, and Stephen Universe. There's also Teen Titans Go!, which moves almost as fast as Johnny Test, but is a much, much better show. The new Loony Toons Show is really good too, when they want to air it. And while I'm on a ramble, find a way to watch the two-season Scooby Doo: Mystery Inc., it's amazing.

So... I guess my point is, if you can wade through all the cheap programming like Johnny Test and whatever Lego series is on, you can find some pretty good stuff.
