I'm kinda curious about e-readers, but I'm not sure I'll actually use it, so I'm thinking about picking up a used one. Anything I should look for / avoid?

These are the same screen resolution as the new ones, just aren't waterproof. They're refurb but when I got a refurb Kindle it was basically new.

That's the right price. How big an issue is the lack of ePub support in practice?

Picked up one of the new old Kindles off woot. I think I'm going to be doing a lot more reading now.

Is there any way to spoof registration on an offline Paperwhite 3? I'd like to be able to organize my books but I'd rather not have ads on it.

I found a thread from several years ago for doing it, but it was for an older version of Kindle.
