I always spend money on helmets and skates and go cheap on the rest of my gear. true. i had a helmet that was too big for me (it fit, but tehre was wiggle room) and took a hit or two that probably gave me a minor concussion (dizzy, confused, sensitive to light, etc). it really makes a difference to get a good fit (otherwise, theres no point). try the sizes both above and below what you think you should get to make sure.
