my brother spotted a car with a SLEEEEP license plate and "Matt Pike for President" bumper sticker the other day; is that someone in here?

If it was a Virginia license plate, I think it's the guitar player of Lair. https://lairdoom.bandcamp.com/releases

These guys just released their debut album. After one listen, I'd say it's pretty drat good.

Edit: I'm gonna see Inter Arma on Saturday, I'm stoked.

Well I bought the ticket so I guess it's time to go buy a distinctive shirt of some kind!

May I suggest an Absu shirt and Opeth wristbands?

Now I'm thinking of adding a red light moving back and forth horizontally in the front. Cousin KITT.

My Boris-wear: Witch Mountain hoodie, Sleep tee, long hair in a messy bun, beard. I'll probably be hanging out with members of Ever Circling Wolves.

Sup, Dommedagsnatt vinyl buddy.

Can't remember where I found it, but I've had it for years but I'm pretty sure it was a brick and mortar store in Helsinki, Finland.

If you can read it it isn't a metal shirt.

You just made me look down at the shirt I'm wearing to a) remind myself of what shirt I'm wearing and b) confirm if it's a metal shirt.

Alas, my Yob shirt isn't metal. Far too legible.

Hello, s/d/s thread! I've spent roughly half of last year working on a doom/drone project and now it is finally finished. I've got a single cut out with the rest of a full length album to follow at some point. Thought some of you might appreciate this.

This is loving excellent, I love it! Did you use a drum machine? or what's giving those tasty drums?

Edit: just the tones in general on this are fantastic i love it

Thanks guys!

I used a combination of ezdrummer (electronic kit), a sample I recorded some years ago of a door slamming (that's the bass drum analogy) and a noise synth (harsh digital nose) for percussion sounds.

This is more like SDS-adjacent, but this Finnish band called Ruoto whose guitarist/vocalist I'm internet friends with went halfway doom rock after I made him a Fuzz Factory clone (their earlier efforts were something like indie alt-rock and some of that naturally remains but they've got stonerier riffs now). Their latest album came out a year ago and I bought it off the bat, then largely forgot about until recently, and now that I've had it in my mobile playlist for a while, I've been like "what retro stoner doom band is this?" when the first track comes on. So I thought I'd share, in case anyone's curiosity is piqued after my ramble.

The full album is now released on Bandcamp. Streaming platforms should follow (well, they should be live now, but apparently they aren't). Two more slabs, one of which is monolithic.
