We all know about the NZBMatrix refugees. I'm sure if anyone uses and lesser-known, open-registration, recommendable indexers that they'd be inclined to recommend them at this time without being asked. Everyone in this thread mostly all know of just the same indexers, though. Hold tight.

I feel pretty good at least about downgrading my giganews account from the 34.99 one to a $9.99 model or whatever it is. Now since I cannot get into the cool kids clubs of nzb sites, I am just trying out newznab.

This is really loving me off. For the loving life of me 99.9% of everything I've tried is either crap, down, gone paranoid and turned off registrations , or needs invites.

Personally I don't have a problem with sharing indexer URLs, I don't want to know what you do with those indexers. I just don't want this particular thread (as its supposed to be Usenet general) turning into pages of "invite plz" is all.

Thinking about buying a NZBsRus vip account as an NZBMatrix refugee. I'm not sure how to access whether it is a worthwhile investment without first polling you experts...

RE90 posted:Thinking about buying a NZBsRus vip account as an NZBMatrix refugee. I'm not sure how to access whether it is a worthwhile investment without first polling you experts... NZBRUS has been really flakey as of late, even before all this other poo poo went down. I'd give them money only as a last resort because I'd bet dollars to donuts they'll be next in line to go. On the plus side you can only pay them in bitcoins, so that's hilarious. They also seem to have the largest user base actively involved in commenting releases now that NZBmatrix is gone. Unfortunetly most of the people there are complete idiots as to how the scene works and if left to their own devices will start begging the person who uploaded the nzb (stolen from nzbmatrix) for the bluray rip (of a lunix distro). The mods aren't much better. maniacripper fucked around with this message at 06:55 on Dec 13, 2012 |

Did Dognzb prune inactive accounts? I made one there a very long time ago when it was first made but I never used it since Nzb.su covered my needs. Now it appears it's time to diversify but attempting to recover password using my e-mail doesn't yield the email it says it is sending.

I think it's safe to assume that every indexer went a bit crazy over the past week(s) and probably pruned like mad-men/clammed up tight.

I was never able to reset my password, but my account is still active because Sickbeard still pulls from there. I think the password recovery thingee isn't working.

From what I read somewhere after having the same issue, they purge accounts that have a certain length of inactivity (I think it was 90 days). I wish I'd either known that beforehand, or taken the time to upgrade my nzb.su account to VIP before they had a big surge in new registrations and it was subsequently purged.
