So guys I'm going to the last Summer All Tomorrow's Parties this weekend and I'm pretty bummed.

Truly the end of an era finished off with a thread bare lineup but hey Deerhunter and the Breaders.

Isnt Slasher Flicks going to be there? I just saw them live at Glasslands and they owned. Its like HEY LIGHT style Animal Collective with insane drumming.

The single popped up on my google all access and wasn't feeling that, but i'll give the album a shot (Because they're fun live and thats all that matters).

Now this new cults album :allears:

Cults debut album was a stone cold classic, this one is really good but doesn't nearly hit me the same way.

They're all bad, dude. Lets not sugar coat it. They only work in the context of an interpol song and attempting to extract any meaning is a useless exercise. That being said, interpol is totally the ~dad rock music for our gen~. I'll see them whenever I can.

Seeing them twice next week!

Someone at DFA had a NMH shirt, it's somewhat of a "unique" band that I'd have to see in a certain context to really enjoy (small indoor venue). I don't think they lend well to a large open one like you'd have at a festival. I'm going to see Spoon (or at least planning on it) in the first week of December at the Moody with a friend that I'm driving four hours for and dropping more money than I should on for a band I'm not CRAZY about but, I've sort of become addicted to concert going at this point.

I saw NMH twice this year (Prospect Park and Coachella) and they were incredible both times. They do well in a festival atmosphere

I'm sorry to hear that. They were amazing when I saw them in Dallas. Though it was a recently redone venue so everything was brand new. I really liked Braids, their last album has been on repeat in my car since I saw them last Friday. We had this other band open for us "Born Gold" they were an electro pop sort of thing.

I am at work but the venues most recent album has plenty of pictures.

https://m.facebook.com/thebombfactorydallas

It was a 4500 person venue and by the far the largest GA show I'd ever been to. Every band kept commenting on how big of a crowd it was. Purity Ring themselves were really good. Really fun to dance to even without alcohol. Though there was a drunk woman next to me who kept grinding on me, then some guy who started smoking weed right next to me but, in light of how awesome the show was I can forgive it.

Born Gold is amazing
