The Battletech universe is a mecha themed tabletop game series. The sci-fi series is largely lacking in aliens even though it deals with interplanetary war. There's one exception, a single novel had bird like aliens called the Tetatae appear. By and large Battletech fans hate that novel and any mention of the Tetatae. So naturally goons playing Mechwarrior Online (A Battletech video game) trolled the fans by "roleplaying" as Tetatae.
