There's just something about any old photos of cars with old cameras that makes me love them, just that old type of film (i don't know poo poo about cameras) and the way it looks. Of course the resolution on the rift is better than the stuff 10 years ago but the big thing about them is that you move your view in game by moving your head and you don't feel like the game is lagging behind. They are pretty much trying to overtake your brain and predict your movements. This is barely possible with affordable technology today so the rift is a whole different beast than those old VR goggles. And you can probably still afford a gorilla or at least a small monkey from the savings after buying a rift!

He might have been switching it and fooling with it to get it to work better, it didn't sound to me that the switchoff was working 100%, at least not when on the supertrap that is. I talked with the drivers a bit and got the impression the entire car is (not surprisingly) rather fiddly. What job did you do as crew?
