Volvo didn't like it so it was built as the Citroen BX, 4 door hatch & wagon only. A coupe would have been awesome.

Fun fact - the Escort Cosworth was released with 204BHP & took the top spot in the insurance tables immediately. Over in the toyobaru thread people are arguing cars with that little power are unsafe these days.

The 2CV however, is badass & can take an ungodly amount of abuse, giving out hippy-choking clouds of smoke doing so. It's the only vehicle I've heard garnered literally no benefit from anything better than 2-star petrol back when you could still get that poo poo.

The SM is bonkers, it's mid-front, see the PTO shaft driving the accessories crossing over the steering rack, which itself it above the trans axle. At least the oil filter is accessible.

[edit] As an aside, for those of you who remember my brief thread that died out, I still have the 63 Impala, just keeping it alive for now. It's my daily driver now, from home to school, and in the last couple months I've put about 2000 miles on it. Odometer is now sitting at 46,045 miles. Other than a stubborn rear main leak and a dire need for replacement exhaust heads, the engine is running well.

Glad to hear a classic is getting some use, mind throwing another picture up?

Also, seeing that mental 7 reminded me, has anyone seen pictures of a prototype 7 touring? I don't know whether it's just wishful thinking but I'm sure I remember one floating around.
