Action platformer kind of like a slower paced Contra. Except you're driving a giant robot and you upgrade your weapons as you go through the game. You can shoot in any direction and you have jets that let you extend your jump a bit. There's also shoot-'em-up stages.
And when you say robot its a real rear end robot, lumbering and slow and when you kick your VOTOMS-style skates or jetpack it has real weight and inertia to it. I think its a really satisfying game just to control because of how thoroughly it commits to the mecha aesthetic.

What's happened so far to delisted games like the Wii VC DKC games? Can you still redownload them? Transfer them between devices at least?

Yeah, delisting just means removed from sale. For people that previously downloaded said items they're free to redownload them as Nintendo kept them on their database.

For example, all of the Commodore 64 games have been removed from the Wii Shop, yet I can still redownload Boulder Dash if I ever decide to delete it.

I'd think it was a sign of an incoming Direct too, but at the same time i've heard America is getting stuff this week, so it's likely Nintendo being Nintendo.

Man it would be great if they'd actually put up stuff in the $0-20 bracket I want to buy. It's been forever since I last got anything off the eShop.

Japan isn't getting anything this week, either. The Wii U Virtual Console site completely skips this week and has already listed what comes out on the 20th, for example.

I would like to cross my fingers and believe this means we're getting a surprise Nintendo 64 VC announcement real soon.

I'd actually highly recommend Splinter Cell: Blacklist at that price. It's plot is dumb as hell, like someone ran a bad Tom Clancy book through google translate a few times, adapted that to a TV series, and then Linkara reviewed that TV series, and someone watched the Linkara review, and then that person adapted it to a videogame. Riddled with cliches and unnecessary violence, and torture(this is just a moral issue for me, I don't think good guys torture, and hate that I have to watch my protagonist do it). It's insulting.

BUT!!!!!!!

The actual gameplay and missions are the best since Chaos Theory. It takes everything that was actually good about Splinter Cell: Conviction, and reinserts the best parts of the good Splinter Cell games. The gameplay is really tight and well balanced, the missions are really fun. And there's a ton of content and optional missions that are really fun as well. I never had any problems with the WiiU version except in the opening mission I fell through the ground once.

Did you burn yourself out on AC3? If no, then go for it. Being a pirate's pretty fun.

Most annoying glitch that's just a generic AC4 glitch is falling through the deck of a ship if you fall from very high up while boarding it or whatever.

If you cannot play it on a PC that can run it or a PS4 then yeah. Game has serious framerate issues on PS3/WiiU but it is a good game regardless if you aren't completely burned out on AC. It is way better than AC3.

yes. framerate is fine, and I'm a tremendous stick in the rear end about framerates. the giant gamepad map is a great function for navigating, love using it. fun game, def more fun than AC3 or all the rehash Ezio sequels.

AC4 is the only game my brother has played on the Wii U aside of Mario Kart 8, and he seems to be quite enjoying it. I've played a way into it myself, and it certainly looks and runs well enough most of the time - the framerate drop is noticeable, but by and large it doesn't really break the game or anything.

Just keep in mind its a third party title, so it'll eat up storage space.
