I don't know if it was a repeat episode or not, but last night's episode ended with one of the contestants putting up "What is ALEVE" as their response to a Final Jeopardy clue about two countries in Africa named after rivers that rhyme that nobody got right. He'd been acting halfway stoned/hosed up all episode and the studio loving lost it laughing at him for that.

I just wish they would stop asking contestants about their lovely, boring lives. I guess it's a good thing I'll never get picked as a possible contestant because my response to that would be "can we just play the game?" (because my life is also lovely and boring, otherwise I wouldn't have applied to try and play the game for some spending money).

Also, I laughed at Alex when he said "Godfrey Daniels!" "God drat It!" in response to Nan's story about being invested in phrases to get around censorship on network TV.
