I don't know if it was a repeat episode or not, but last night's episode ended with one of the contestants putting up "What is ALEVE" as their response to a Final Jeopardy clue about two countries in Africa named after rivers that rhyme that nobody got right.

He'd been acting halfway stoned/hosed up all episode and the studio loving lost it laughing at him for that.

There was a press release put out by Sony or another company involved with the production of the show a couple days ago that confirmed that registration for the test was to begin with the new season, and that they were doing one so early to make up for excluding Canadians on the last go around after having worked out why they couldn't take it then.

At least, that's according to the Jeopardy blogs linked to me on Facebook and the link I posted above from the NY station airing Jeopardy. Same link say College tests are at the end of the month and regular ones are at the beginning of October.

You'd think that if that were actually true the website that you go through to register for and take the test would be updated accordingly.

Done. It'll probably be the 8pm test since that'll be the only one I'll be able to do when not at work.

They try way to hard to make the most boring poo poo sound like it would be an interesting story if the person involved was capable of telling a story without going "uh" or "um" literally every other word in said story.

you have to come up with five stories during auditions. i don't even have a single interesting story about my life.

plus they could get all the clues in every time if they eliminated it (or the 9 minutes of commercials after the game's over).

The only mildly interesting thing that happened in my life is getting cancer in 2011 (the boring kind, that is to cancer what Dane Cook is to comedy).

I don't think that would make for good Jeopardy TV even if I made it that far, so I wouldn't go into it.

Oh, I know Ian Fleming was racist. But wondering if an author is racist because one of the characters they created is racist is kind of a dumb way to get to it (by that reasoning every author that writes about police brutality based on racism is a racist because the characters they write about are racist, it's bad logic).
