Is there any reason why I wouldn't want to buy this Vizio M602I-B3? I don't really care for any of the Smart TV Features as I'll be using a HTPC or PlayStation 4. Screen quality is pretty important to me...

mune posted:The bezel appears to be glossy, yes. The screen is an LED screen so you can see reflections of direct light on it but the image is very clearly visible either way. Eh, crap... Is there any other alternative that has roughly the same specs but with a matte-finish?

I thought OLED development was dead and now the race is whomever can make the best most pixel dense display.

Vizio 4k Chat I'm a little concerned about how some users showed how colors seemed to blob with 1080p content and when directly connected to a PC some 4k content suddenly became blocky. Granted, he was using integrated graphics. I'm going to wait abit, at least until we got some official reviews but this does seem like the tv to buy.

For that have soundbars, can you get away with laying them under the tv or do they have to be wall mounted? I'm looking at the standard Vizio soundbars or the Klipsch model.

I've been trying to keep on all the P-Series threads (AVS,HardOCP,etc) but no one has been able to get the P-Series to work at 1080p/120hz or 4k/60hz.

Also, I've been trying to follow all the chat but the rumor is that the same panel that's in the P-Series 65" is also going to be the R-Series 65". If that's true then the 65" is the one to get.

What does content protection have to do with the inability to display 4:4:4 colors? This also seems a little backwards compared to typical PC monitors where it's always better to have IPS over VA or TN - correct?

There are a million calibration guides, is there something of one that's specific to the 60P? Or P-Series in general? My colors seems a little whitish with the voice lagging and minor artifacting near subtitles.

The panels themselves would need to be the same (VA,IPS,etc) but remember that every panel is different. It's a guide not a strict set of rules.

Fremry posted:Nope. The increase in size is something you will value everyday, while 4k not only doesn't have any content, but the idea of 4k being any better than 1080p is dubious at best. 4k reminds me of the years of fabricated contrast numbers. LCD TV with 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio! (Actual number 400:1) You can certainly tell the difference between 720p, 1080p and 4k but largely dependent on the size of the screen. 4k is available. Netflix and Amazon are both streaming in 4k. The selection is slim but all new shows and movies will be filmed in it.

bull3964 posted:Again, not true. The the vast majority of stuff produced today is still less than 4k. Filming with 4k cameras is becoming more common, but 4k workflows are still lagging and there still a ton of stuff being shot digitally in less than 4k. 2.8k is still a very popular format to capture in. Point taken, Are showes/movies still shot in film?
