Well, I haven't been workin' on it all that hard since mid-last year the long, long home stretch was handled by Sara, Jess (who doesn't post here), and a small army of QA folks at XSEED and beyond. but yeah, wondering how a thing I worked on for several years will be received is definitely something that is happening at this moment I hope you guys like it, it's a labor of love for everyone involved

Yeah. Please by all means enjoy the hell out of this game. It was sort of brutal self-torture to get everything working and sorted out, believe me. Though I would gladly do it all again if I had to.

I can't believe it's happening. I thought this would hit in November or December for sure, maybe next year. I bought the game last year around Christmas, thinking for sure that SC would be out in Jan-Feb., but no - either way, it's time to actually finish it now that the sequel's gonna drop.

It's rather bare bones. - There's wall-papers and forum icons of the main characters plus Weissmann. - You get to learn the official English last names of Anelace, Kurt, Mueller and Phillip. - You get to stare at Amalthea's rear end. - It promises more Olivier. Seriously, that's what it says. "More Olivier". Oh yeah, and it naturally spoils FC. Erpy fucked around with this message at 23:14 on Oct 23, 2015 |

Better get to finishing my replay of FC on the PC... FC is a great ride and the narrative works very nicely as a unit but man I have been eagerly awaiting that follow on for years. Whee it's finally gonna be here! I'm also adding my thanks to all the ones who have expressed theirs already.

Since the Japanese already have all 7 Kiseki games at their fingertips, I'm playing a very tiny violin for them. Like...miniscule in size. I've also heard that a Japanese version of XSeed's PC version may be getting on Steam in Japan, so that's even more reason to shrug at the saltiness.

Just what was added for the PSP version, anyway? Is it really enough to provoke salt in the first place?

Supremezero posted:Just what was added for the PSP version, anyway? Is it really enough to provoke salt in the first place? What was added to the PSP version was, AFAIK: - An extra piece of quartz which is kinda like Cast3 with a twist. Arts go off almost instantly, but it nerfs several of your stats (like ATK and ATS) to such a degree that the only purpose of the character is casting healing/buffing spells. - The original PC version allowed you to swap a book collection for one ultimate weapon for either Estelle or Joshua, like in FC. In the PSP version, you could get two ultimate weapons and they could be for any of the playable characters. - Apparantly an additional S-craft level for one of the characters. - Two additional playable characters who join your party in the final dungeon. - All the stuff like bestiary, retry-offset, difficulty levels and New Game+ that was also added to FC's PSP version. XSeed's PC version contains all those extras plus the bells and whistles Sara added such as widescreen support, hi-res art and other things. Falcom's "Windows 8" PC version is the original PC version without any of those extras, just configured to not crash upon start-up when running it on modern OSses. So yeah, probably enough to provoke salt in the PC players. But they still have access to all 7 kiseki games, so here's me not giving a schnitzel. :P

Yeah, I believe it majorly lowers your ATS, meaning the only spells you can effectively wield are heal and buff spells since those have the same effect regardless of magic stat.Cake Attack posted:my wife Some of those traits were already shown in FC during the final chapter. After each of the tournament matches, Kurt, Carna and Grant are always hanging out at the Bracer Guild, sitting at the bar or taking a break inside their hotel room. Anelace? She's either standing in line at the icecream stand, or she's checking out the plushies section at the department store, trying to make up her mind about which one's the cutest. It's kind of adorable, really. Makes you want to shove Tita in front of her and grab a bag of popcorn. Erpy fucked around with this message at 18:35 on Oct 24, 2015 |
