Turns out the whole "Capture Card" capabilities of the rangers' weapons was an English invention; it seemed like such a Japanese thing to do, collecting all the criminal cards and such. Yeah, there's a gang of five fruity colored superheroes onboard and their huge combining robot that luckily doesn't bang its head on the dome, but they're not the first and last word in keeping the peace. They're just the best group equipped for this particular type of threat. You should definitely watch RPM if you haven't yet. In it, the rangers are constantly butting heads with the military force protecting the city. The red ranger is the military commander's son and quit the military to join the rangers against his father's wishes.

Not much of a spoiler considering you see it in context in the first minute of the movie. Overall I definitely see where the 50%ish Rotten Tomatoes score is coming from. A fun movie with a few flaws. Don't think it'll make much of an impression for non Power Rangers fans, but hoping it does well enough for a sequel. EDIT: Shouldn't have read the comments on those posts. Whole lot of people who haven't seen the movie getting upset about their assumption that the official Power Rangers accounts are posting spoilers.

If this movie gets a sequel ideally the gold of the staff reforms to become a shield for him.

Did the latest Legacy Wars update break the game for anyone else? Half my matches now have unplayable lag, and the other half get me stuck on a screen like this (which also results in a loss for an added kick in the balls):  It's a pretty cool F2P Power Rangers game, but this isn't giving me much hope the game'll have legs.

Plus the fight scenes are fantastically shot and choreographed! I'm a huge fan of the combination of wire work and special effects they put into the Jungle Master mode scenes.
