That's my mom's pup Bailey. He'll be 13 in March. He has to have surgery to have a tumor removed on Friday.

A couple of years ago my sister's dog had surgery to have a tumor removed and when they opened her up they found so many more that they had to put her down.

I hope it doesn't happen to Bailey.

This is Ginger, 15yo toy poodle. She's smart as hell.

My family's had her and her smaller sister since they were pups. She may live with my parents, but she's my dogge.

My parents put one of our dogs to sleep this morning. We had 2 red toy poodle sisters, litter mates. The little one, Mitzi, was 16, deaf, blind, could barely stand or eat anymore, and had a long decline to this point. We knew it was coming, but it's still tough. She had a liver thing or something, so she never passed 6 pounds, and wasn't supposed to live past 8, so we got to spend a lot more time with her than we expected.

Her sister, Ginger and 'my' dog, is still around. She's a little blind and loves to sleep all day. I know it's coming sooner as opposed to later, but it's gonna be harder with her.

I got to play with some kick-rear end dogs last night, that made me feel better.

It finally hit me tonight after my buddy's wedding that for the first time in 16 or so years, I cannot go home to my parents' place and pet 'my' dog. She was helped along to that big farm upstate on Thursday. By the end she barely had any hair, was mostly blind, and had trouble standing up, but she was always happy to see me. But she was still my dogge.
