Does this typically take a while, or should I take some kind of action? Happened to me too, go to the settings tab and open system software update. It will have to re-download, but its only 300mb.

I wonder what the Red ring of/blinking red light of death will be this time around. Why do companies make the bad colors red, overheating makes sense, hot/warning signal. But when it breaks and it gives you red it just makes things seem worse.

My A50s aren't working with the PS4. Game audio works, the other people can hear me, but I can't hear them. If I turn my game audio down ALL THE WAY, I can sort of hear the person in the background. Anyone able to get A50s working in party chat at all?

Does the PS4 use the same power cord as the PS3? I'm going to replace my PS3 with it, and if it's possible to skip threading the cord through the back of the media center that would be great.

I'd gather EA accounts are tied to your PS profile, and if it's not recognising you then it's a server issue and best to wait a bit before retrying.

A video posted showed someone unplugging their PS3 and replacing it with the PS4 using the same cables, pretty handy for people who want to switch consoles now and then but don't want to keep the one they're not using on their TV stand, no messing with loads of cables.

Swapping to Ghosts after playing Killzone is such a shock. The maps look downright empty. That really highlighted the generation differences for me.

That's exactly what I did, but I had a slim so it was a quick and simple swap. Been playing BF4 for a while. Did the first two campaign missions and a multiplayer game. Crashed to the dashboard when I tried to leave the multiplayer after the match, but no seriously worrying issues so far.
