This poo poo loving rules.

Dance With The Dead started off kinda being on the edge of synthwave, but this poo poo is purestrain.

I've seen them live twice, for loved to death and as an opener for dragonforce, they kinda rule live. This music is gonna fuckin' rule live and i'm gonna risk lungshitting helldeath to see it.

honestly, i don't love this song.

It's not bad, but it's also reminding me of a worse Fab Tool I guess.

I like Fab Tool tho

I like it, but I do miss the kind of sound Brut had going with Trilogy, this stuff sounds a bit more like everyone else. It's still good but you know

Riot Bimbo

the Blood Machines intro + main theme is about the only time he revisited that sound.

Blood Machines is great btw

I don't blame him for wanting to evolve his sound, and like I said, I think Fab Tool was overall an improvement over most of Leather Teeth, which I really don't listen to aside from Beware The Beast sometimes.

Honestly, I thought I kinda wanted him to stay in that Trilogy sound, until I got over the novelty of the blood machines theme, i realized it would get stale in a hurry to stay in that soundscape with no further evolution. Dance with the Dead has been consistently evolving and Driven To Madness is, I think, their strongest album yet. Evolution is good. Stepping out of a box like that is good. But he's leaving me behind, if this song is a good indicator of wider album, I am kinda bummed that he may be leaving my tastes behind.

Baroness did this to me as well.

It's fine, I'll always have the music they did make that I do like, and I understand being an artist too well to loving whine all that much.

But yeah, kinda antsy and minorly bummed if Brut is leaning into gothy stuff, that just ain't what I groove on.

Eh. It just sounds so monotone. I can skip to any part of the song and it'll sound the exact drat same.

I miss the dynamic range of trilogy.

It's a fine response if you're having a lovely day and your coworker is asking you about it at an inopportune time.

It is really far removed from being "fine" as an official statement from a public figure. Especially if there would have been literally zero effort required for an easy "win" (see: Carpenter Brut).

So if a band like Perturbator - whose fanbase, at least locally where I'm at (Germany) has a certain reputation when it comes to these kinds of politics - goes out of their way to avoid this kind of clear statement and instead decides on that kneejerk reaction for their public response? Then the very least they should expect is to be asked some uncomfortable questions tbh.
