And what about that Spider-Man graphic novel? The price is so good for that much comic that I am very tempted. $3.99 for a 389 page comic seems good - as long as it is not utter poo poo.
To clarify, it's not one comic, it's a chunk of Amazing Spider-Man plus some Venom, so 13 single issues. That is a good price, though.

I would agree with the Silver Age article on wikipedia that basically says the end began with the O'Neil/Adams run on Green Lantern, but definitely finished with the murder of Gwen.

I saw a thing today about how Storm's upcoming series is the first time she's ever had an ongoing solo book and I was wondering, how many other X-Men have gotten their own ongoing? There's obviously Wolverine and the current Magneto series but I couldn't really think of anyone else.
Cable, Emma Frost, Gambit, Havok, Mystique, Nightcrawler, Rogue, X-23...and then there's been a whole assload of 4-issue minis for almost everyone.

nosyarG ciD/Larry
Superman Prime
The First Lantern/Volthoom

The ROM thing is a good example of something that baffles me about fandom. There's no chance a new ROM book would be anything like the old ROM book. Neither of the original creators would be working on it, which you think would be the draw for people nostalgic about the old book. But apparently that doesn't matter; just having the property back gets them all excited. It's weird.
I agree completely. The original series was obviously a passion project of Mantlo and Buscema's. I think people really just want easy-to-buy Ultimate Editions of the original run.

DC's Stormwatch was a terrible comic and I stopped reading like 3 issues in, so if anything eventually interesting happened, beats me.
