After watching the first two episodes of Ascension, I can confirm that it is the most unintentionally hilarious miniseries that has aired in recent times. I can't wait to see what brilliance the final episode is probably chock full of.

We watched the Ascension first episode and it was not good. The most glaring issue is where are all of the old people? The original crew? Why is everyone under 40? It's jarring. Not going to watch the rest of it.

How the gently caress did that even make it past the basic script stage in 2014? Or maybe the better question is how far Sci-Fi has fallen as a network. Ascension would be a better show if the twist was the US government secretly had faster then light travel and had already colonized the planet they are heading too. Making the whole mission useless and the earth project about trying to contact the ship for it to slow down so they could be picked up by one of the new ships.
