I'm gonna go ahead and toss out my best predictions for top 8 usf4, while not knowing if it's even possible considering the pool alignment. Top 8 Winner's Bonchan Kazunoko Xiao Hai Sakonoko Top 8 Loser's Infiltration Ryan Hart Momochi Tokido top 16 wildcards Xian Daigo Fuudo Haitani Ricky Ortiz PR Balrog Gackt Eita Prediction wrap up - Very limited selection of white people who even have a chance  . We're going to see the better part of the top Gouki players have very strong runs. Daigo will get beat out by some solid japanese players playing better characters. Sako will look in as good of shape as a 40+ year old capcup champion can. Xiao Hai is holding back, seriously. Momochi will unleash harder than most of his japanese counterparts. If I were to predict a top 4 outcome it'd look something like this.1st - Bonchan 2nd - Kazunoko 3rd - Infiltration 4th - Sakonoko Drop your predictions here and we will argue about all the asians who are better at fighting games than us.

Two Sagats in Ultra Street Fighter? That's a bold prediction. Daigo tier whoring will probably guarantee him a top 8. Whether or not he's good enough to win Evo is another question, but his consistency shouldn't be questioned.

Real talk though I feel like the Sagat veterans are skilled enough in matchup knowledge that they can still make it happen, Sagat lost very little in most of his critical matchups, and even gained a bit in some of them. At the highest level of sf4, reads take precedence over frames and high damage output, and a master level Sagat like Bonchan can make the most absurd reads on the fly constantly. My theory of Daigo dropping out is related to his performance in Topanga league, losing sets to players like Wao and Dashio. Daigo can perform insanely well in long sets, but I think he'll run into a few surprises that will at least keep him out of top 8 winner's side.

You have to be so far out of the loop to think Daigo is "washed up" or "not good enough" that you might not know what a loop is. His two month-old Evil Ryu might be a liability for him this year though, Daigo's unparalleled matchup knowledge was his greatest strength in AE2012. That said #1 BP card in Japan playing at Taito Station is as serious as it gets. Just playing the odds I'd money against Ryan Hart and Kazunoko top 8 and on Daigo, Sako and Bon-chan. There are too many strong players to try to predict more accurately than that. I called six Japanese players, Xian and a westerner last year, just replace "Xian" with "an East Asian player" and it's still looking good. iPodschun posted:-The highest placing American will be one of the Viper players Jayce is the only one left and going all-in on him seems kinda nutty. Hope Smug, Snakeeyes and PR Rog get into top 32 at least, those guys are way too fun to watch. K-Brad can come too if he mans up and picks a character who plays Street Fighter. PR Rog is strong but the dude lost 7-2 7-2 7-2 7-3 to the Japanese players at Topanga World League and I think it's been an actual chronological year since he beat a JP player in a set. The Tokyo dudes went deep into the salt mines after Evo last year and sucked every drop of data out of Boxer and Gen. He can beat everyone else though!
