Sorry! I have already worked 40 hours this week! I am not available and it is unreasonable to make myself available past 40 hours. *Edit* quote:However, if the company called them and did not pay them, that is "a clear violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act," she said. That law establishes wage standards. There may be exceptions for participation in certain aspects of litigation, but Blackwell said, "this clause is too broad" and is likely unenforceable. So really it should be: Haha pay me first or I sue you. FlapYoJacks fucked around with this message at 14:16 on Oct 20, 2015 |

I was in your position one time. Tiny company, 60 - 80 hour weeks, enormous responsibilities, company going downhill. When the company finally went under I felt a enormous weight lift off of my shoulders. I got a new job within 3 months and now I refuse to work a minute over 40 hours a week. It pains me to see other goons working overtime for free. If you aren't being compensated for your overtime the. DONT WORK OVERTIME.

I got a call from a recruiter today asking if I wanted to work as a camera developer for 60k a year in San Diego. When I told him that there's no way I would take that position for anything less than 120k due to the expense of living there and the nature of the work he asked me: "Are you married? Perhaps your wife can work as well!" Yeah no thanks!

No mandatory minimum allotment of maternity leave at all for mothers. We are the only first world country ON EARTH to not have this. No mandatory minimum allotment of vacation days. No mandatory minimum allotment of sick days either, and you can be fired for being sick.
