As long as my brother and I can create mutants on our PCs and pit them against each other in via World Wrestling Entertainment Two Thousand Fifteen For the Personal Computer (PC), then I will be a happy camper. (still gonna wait for the inevitable Steam sale tho )

I've been having fun making goofy-rear end rasslers in WWE 2K16, but the new Fire Pro on Steam is pretty much gonna be a day one purchase for me.

There isn't much info as of yet, but I'm guessing it'll be 2D like the previous entries in the series. Which is fine by me, the 2D graphics are charming and I get irritated at times with the 3D WWE games' weird graphical issues (custom titles not fitting properly on wrestlers' waists, ropes and belts clipping thru wrestler bodies, stuff like that).

Grabbed FPW today, and one of the first CAWs I downloaded was Frank "The Trayshman" Reynolds. Who proceeded to defeat Sabu in a barbed wire death match. 10/10, GOTY right there.

PWX is great because it's so hilariously bad, like a "so bad it's good" movie-type of entertainment. My favorite personal moment that showed me just how wonderfully bad it is was the one time during a CPU-run match, a wrestler got busted open and the animation bugged out, which meant the wrestler basically spurted blood non-stop for the rest of the match, to the point where it eclipsed the Eddy/Muta scales. By the time it got to the "victory" animation, where the winning wrestler celebrated in the ring while the other wrestler lay on the mat in the background with blood just constantly jetting out of his forehead, I was literally crying from laughing so hard. You just don't get that level of entertainment out of a competently, professionally made game.

From importing theme music from the hdd, tweaking lighting colours / effects, niceley transitioned character motions, to all the words you could chain together during entrances for the announcer to call you. Never again have I experienced Amazing Evil Ninja Bossman, locker room bag tamperer and master of the backstage crate drop. Or the times when the person who was supposed to interfere in a match on your behalf started beating you up instead, because the AI was borked and never targeted your opponent.

I don't think I have it installed any more, but a couple of years back I had Pro Wrestling X installed via Steam, and let the computer sim a four-way match. At one point a wrestler got busted open, and the animation glitched out so that blood kept spurting from his head for the remainder of the match in what I can only assume was true Mass Transit-style. Even at the end, when the victor had his hand raised, the glitched blood was still spurting like a fountain in the background. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard at a video game glitch before or since.

It was a valiant attempt by people completely out of their league. You know the thing about The Man, she’s got lifeless eyes, black eyes, like a doll’s eyes. When she comes at ya, doesn’t seem to be livin’. Until she bites ya and those black eyes roll over white. And then, ah then, you hear that terrible high pitch screamin’, and the ring turns red, and in spite of all the poundin’ and the hollerin’, the fans get up and leave because Lacey took all her heat.

They should make a Mount & Blade II-style game, but instead of running around a fictional medieval kingdom conquering rivals, you're running around wrestling during the 1980s territory days (or the indy circuit for more modern times). You could even settle down and have kids to carry on your wrestling legacy (or settle paternity suits from one-night stands).

TEW was definitely one of those things where I'd get super into it, eventually get burned out/bored, step away for a long while, then eventually get super back into it again. I think the last time I played it was the 2008 or 2010 version or whatever? I remember downloading a then-current "real world" mod and trying to make TNA actually viable by firing a bunch of the elderly/dead weight workers, before realizing that the ones with name value could work to put over guys I wanted to build up (because the way the game worked was, the more name value guys you had in matches, the higher the show's ratings were, or something like that), so I reloaded and had Hogan jobbing to whoever night after night until his contract ran out.

If you manage to dodge all of them successfully, then he goes to AEW and gives them big ratings while the Fox execs explode in rage.
