no see what you do is get 3 displays, make one a lot darker, one a lot brighter, and leave the middle one as is then point a camera at each one and HDR merge all of the displays

if you crank the gamut up on your monitor, you can display colors outside the sRGB color space, but you would have no way of accurately knowing what color was actually being displayed, because RGB values are computer talk and wavelengths of light/pantone swatches are real defined things.

You can however, use a color managed application like Photoshop, and display and create colors up to the gamut if your display, but only other color managed applications could replay them, and that assumes they have a monitor with a color gamut, and a proper profile to even display it back.

going outside sRGB is setting yourself up for failure unless you're going to a highly calibrated print or filmout process.
