Correct me if I'm wrong, but since it was shot on live tape, then doesn't that mean it's pretty limited in the quality you can get out of it?

Edit: I think that's why old tape of newscasts always looks pretty rough, too. So, that's why the only tape available of Cronkite announcing JFK's death is so bad.

It's not like they never re-show old clips, though. You'd think that they'd retouch them if they could.

There was that weird era in the Seventies when the live tape (sports especially) would always look really weird, with light trails and stuff.
