Greetings, Let's Players! Let's get Giygas! What is this 'Bound to Earth' you speak of? Back in 1989, Japanese Essayist Shigesato Itoi came out with the first 'Mother' game for the Famicom as part of an experiment. Seeing how video games were coming into their intimacy, he wanted to experiment with the medium as a tool for telling a story and an essay, and came up with the story of a boy discovering why his lamp was attacking him, which led into a story of a woman and an alien. And it sold quite well. In Japan. Fast forward to 1994, and Itoi is having troubles with his second game, until Satoru Iwata saves the game from a long and tortuous death by reprogramming it midway through development. The game came out with much the same response in Japan, and got enough visibility to warrant an overseas release. Thus, Mother 2 became Earthbound, and here we are. Finally, in 2006, Itoi finishes up the series with Mother 3, bringing it to the GameBoy Advance, without any sort of international release. A dedicated fanbase springs up to translate the title, releasing a stable build right around the time Lucas (the lead from 3) was becoming popular with overseas audiences with his inclusion into Super Smash Bros Brawl. And now, we get to blindly stumble through both games. We will be streaming the games through twitch every Saturday, and posting the clips on Youtube throughout the week. And as we are both new to the streaming and Youtube scene, please give us advice on how to get better. We can't improve unless you all help us improve. And remember, No Crying Until The End.

Earnestly posted:Cool thread title, where did you get it? It's the tagline to the first Mother game. Also, umm...we basically fudged up on the Youtube stuff. We didn't hit 'record' after we hit 'stream'.
