To be honest, my mom's been making noise about ceasing payment of my various fines and reregs, I had just ran out of crunchy snackables when I read this thread and... it just caught me in a bad place. You should look into MAME because arcades are filled with classic STGs, you can go anywhere from early Scramble and Galaxian type stuff to the Star Wars game to, uh, Giga Wing.
