Of course there's the chance that Biden might throw his hat in the ring. He wouldn't win, his value would more be in who he endorses after he dropped out because it'd be seen as the tacit endorsement of the Obama administration (as Obama is staying away from this).

Julian Castro would be a good pick for VP, the Castro twins are some of the best rising stars the Dems have in their bullpen and naming one of them Vice President sets them up for a 2024 run. The Castros wouldn't even be 50 by then.
