got Battleborn thru Humble Bundle this week. It's pretty OK, not worth being slammed like it has been. It's like a Borderlands MOBA. if that appeals to you, check it out. I am digging it so far but boy are the servers kinda empty.

No Man's Sky is v chill, but also can be spooky and mysterious i learned some alien words and they're telling me about a convergence and i acted real nice and they are studying me (current status : Thesis) so ive got that going for me which is nice but the parts i don't like are like 50% of the game- resource management and mining. but the seamless 'go from planet to space to space station to warping around' bits and the 'explore the planet' bits are worth the trouble, most of the time.

just finished SUPERHOT. no idea on why i waited so long to play it. still playing OVERWATCH, BATTLEBORN, GHOST IN THE SHELL FIRST ASSAULT ONLINE (dumb name) and EVOLVE STAGE 2 when I can. most of my time is being eaten by GTA5 tho. i liek vimeogrames

MAD MAX : THE GAME is way better than a movie tie-in has any right to be. Good story, lots of openworld collectable crap but also pretty valid reasons for doing so. Building the ultimate car to use in car-to-car combat is rad as hell

started up Just Cause 3, which holds yr hand a bit at the beginning but the immediate additions of new abilities and stuff require it. you gotta admire a game that encourages, nay requires, you to just go nuts. "yeah, so there's this bad guy, he's doing bad stuff, here's some weapons and a grappling hook and a wingsuit and an infinite parachute, there's the stuff to blow up... have fun!"

Agents of Mayhem was half price and I got it and it's super fun. If you like wacky Saints Row 3/4/Gat out of Hell gameplay and the whole colorful heroes roster to unlock and choose from that Overwatch and Battleborn had, it's really good. But only if it's less than $20, because wow is this not a $50 or $60 game

finished Neir : Automata and it was something special. Not the "best game ever" as some have said, but a genre-mashup game that's deep as hell fired up Resident Evil VII : biohazard and it's extremely creepy and good. Classic RE gameplay but in 1st person with a found-footage horror film vibe crossed with Texas Chainsaw. It got its hooks in DEEP and early.

Yakuza 0 was on sale and Kiwami is the freebie with PS+ so i'm digging in! also just finished Spider-Man and it was very fun, scratched the open world itch in the best way since the last Saint's Row -- in that I actually wanted to do all the little side quests and stuff because they made them fun to play. Swooping around NY and all that was just great. loved it 5/5

vibeogrames : started Far Cry 5 and it's the most fun I've had in the series since the third one. The usual Ubi chores seem less chore-like, it's fairly organic in how you can approach stuff and just generally fun having it set in a modern US where you fight religious nuts

Look, everyone's saying Sekiro is cool. You know what is not cool and chill is beating your head against the wall of enemies. And yes i've 'gotten good' - beat all 3 dark souls games (eventually) and bloodborne, but something about this is just infuriating on a level i've never experienced. just want 2 chill with the shinobis and listen to the dope music in the background and maybe save the dragon kid cuz he's nice

Persona 5 Royal : My Cat Isn't Letting Me Sleep, Again. And there's a new girl. So far the quality of life improvements are real good - being able to see what Confidants are available and close to upgrading is a time-sizer.

Persona 5 Royal is the best $60 I've spent on a game in a VERY long time (at least 3 years since vanilla P5) Fun in that distinctly JRPG sense, stylish as hell and tons of new quality of life features/improvements over the original game.
