I made rice, here was my method (no pics because I ate it yesterday): 3/4 cup store-bought vegetable stock, though chicken would do in a pinch 1/2 cup long-grain white rice good-sized pat of butter (you can use more or less, depending) bring stock to boil in a small pot, then add rice and butter. cover and bring heat to low-medium low, then simmer for 18 to 20 minutes. remove from heat and let steam, covered, for 10 minutes. It was just a little underdone, but it served as a good starting point if I ever decide to make rice again. I enjoyed it with One Piece (sample quote: I'm Luffy. I'm going to become the king of pirates.) and Ryuichi Sakamoto (sample quote: eeeeeeeeeee). Summary Rice: 7/10 Overall: *****/*****, highly recommended All in all a minor success story. I'll leave this thread unlocked in case anyone has anything to add, congratulatory back-pats or whatever.
