The press for the gsp/diaz fight was the best. It was just months of an inscrutable and upstanding Canadian hero trying to establish rudimentary communication with the living symbol of American rudeness and getting angrier and angrier as it went on.

The worst part about Travis Browne was that he talked soooooo non chalantly about himself like he was objectively the next gen heavyweight who was inevitably going to be champion. And Bigfoot and Werdum didn't stop it at all. He walked around as if he genuinely believed everyone was talking about him like pre-title Weidman when it was only him doing it.

Since people seem to care Before the fight I was all: Conor is cool and has done his job, but the UFC protecting him is sad and stupid and this title shot is too early, objectively. If I had to guess I'd say Chad wrestles him out. After the fight I was all: Conor is cool and has done his job again and I'm more glad than I thought I would be that he's inarguably legit and definitely not allergic to midwest wrasslin. It's good to have a lot of great guys at the top. The special treatment the UFC is dropping on him is dumb (interim belt? Cmon) but gently caress it, at least Robbie had the correct amount of people watching his ascension to top greatness.
