it's pretty great, the plot really picks up in season 8, but don't watch the second OAV, it's an attempt at a reboot of the universe that makes no sense due to creator Hideki Yamarashi leaving to focus on the manga (which has a different ending than the anime, which, let me tell you, started plenty of flame wars over which should be canon).

overall I gave it a 8/10.
