I think I'm going to have a lot of trouble scoring. I tried to go heavy on hits/blks/goaltending though and I should be solid in those categories as well as faceoffs assuming Eichel wins a decent amount as Backes/Turris win a good chunk of them and Dubi wins a few draws as well.

Playoffs are no big deal,
don't have a crap attack.
Yeah, I dropped out of LOLHL. I couldn't do consecutive nights of 10pm draft times.

Here is my HHL team.

1. (1) Patrick Kane (Chi - C,RW) $100
2. (17) Jonathan Toews (Chi - C) $91
3. (22) Taylor Hall (Edm - C,LW) $71
4. (73) Jake Allen (StL - G) $21
5. (74) Ryan McDonagh (NYR - D) $28
6. (86) Jonathan Bernier (Tor - G) $11
7. (89) Kari Lehtonen (Dal - G) $4
8. (95) Jarome Iginla (Col - RW) $17
9. (147) Cam Fowler (Anh - D) $10
10. (163) Tyler Myers (Wpg - D) $8
11. (176) Clarke MacArthur (Ott - LW) $1
12. (187) Brandon Pirri (Fla - C,LW,RW) $2
13. (188) Sam Bennett (Cgy - C) $3
14. (199) Sam Reinhart (Buf - C) $1
15. (273) Dennis Wideman  (Cgy - D) $3
16. (274) Blake Wheeler  (Wpg - RW) $40
17. (275) Wayne Simmonds  (Phi - LW,RW) $34
18. (276) Tyson Barrie  (Col - D) $24

My draft strategy was thrown out the window when I showed up a minute late and found I was autodrafted Kane (I was going to go hard after Tavares). I quickly realized I needed goalies, so my strategy became grab whoever I can and hope for the best. This team seems pretty boom or bust (if Kane doesn't go to jail and Hall remains healthy), so I'll see what happens. I am hoping one of Bennett and Reinhart can be a decent contributor this year.

HONEY BADGER DON'T SCORE
I ended up drafting a few people I was not particularly planning to draft, but I feel like I got some good deals. Last year I had $130 left over or something so I'm glad I was able to spend more this year. I didn't get any of the top guys but I'm happy with Patches/EKane/Kesler/Hornqvist/Sharp as my top forwards.

As Gudas It Gets
Budget $500
1. (21) Henrik Lundqvist (NYR - G) $89
2. (33) Max Pacioretty (Mon - LW) $78
3. (34) Ondrej Pavelec (Wpg - G) $6
4. (47) Radko Gudas (Phi - D) $3
5. (56) Kris Letang (Pit - D) $56
6. (57) Evander Kane (Buf - LW) $40
7. (59) Ryan Kesler (Anh - C,RW) $52
8. (79) Patric Hornqvist (Pit - RW) $44
9. (93) Patrick Sharp (Dal - C,LW) $31
10. (99) Nazem Kadri (Tor - C) $20
11. (127) Dion Phaneuf (Tor - D) $15
12. (152) Matt Dumba (Min - D) $5
13. (158) Troy Brouwer (StL - RW) $4
14. (159) Bo Horvat (Van - C) $2
15. (269) Anders Lee  (NYI - C) $2
16. (270) Frederik Andersen  (Anh - G) $36
17. (271) Nick Bjugstad  (Fla - C) $2
18. (272) Johnny Boychuk  (NYI - D) $2
Unused $13

And I made some drunken posturing to the drafters of Hiller and Miller that Pavelec will have a better year than them. I stand by that, you guys up for a side bet? Forums upgrade or something, based on end of season 2015-2016 Yahoo rank?

Feel decent about my draft. We'll see. Hopefully some dudes develop into good keepers. Defense is a bit of an issue but what can you do - kept getting outbid. That's a tough draft but it sure is fun. I still really want to do a dynasty league.

I'm pretty sure my offense will be woefully mediocre and a coinflip most weeks (except for PPP maybe?) but PIMS/HITS/FW/Blocks should generally be mine I think and hopefully Schneids is good enough in save percentage/GAA to sacrifice the wins column. Unless its a matchup against Fehr and Balanced then I have no clue what will happen.

I like your team quite a bit. We actually play each other week 1. You'll take FW/Hits/PIM, I'll take A/Wins. Blocks are a complete tossup, you've got the edge in goals, I've most likely got the edge in PPP, although that depends a lot on what McDavid/Eichel/Panarin/Nichushkin/Drouin get for PP TOI. GAA/SV% are probably a wash too. +/- is a wash. Should be close.

21. (294) Michael Stone (Ari - D)
22. (295) Boone Jenner (Cls - C)
23. (322) Kevin Bieksa (Anh - D)

I typically end up near the top on Hits/Blocks/PIMs and near the bottom on G/A/PPP so it will pretty much depend on the goaltending holding up to stay consistently average. Hopefully another year of scraping up 6-5 wins.

I like to type up fantasy team up like a real lineup!

LOLHL - Filet Vigneault

Tyler Toffoli - Ryan Gatzlaf - Corey Perry
Matt Duchene - Nicklas Backstrom - Jeff Carter
Ryan O'Reilly - Mikko Koivu - Alex Tanguay
Colin WIlson - Tyler Bozak - Michael Grabner
Ales Hemsky
Alex Burrows
Jori Lehtera

Drew Doughty - Niklas Kronwall
Matt Niskanen - Anton Stralman
Marc-Edouard Vlasic - Jason Demers

Corey Crawford
Ryan Miller

I like most of my forwards but will probably drop the extras within the first two weeks. Also I seem to draft Gatzlaf and Koivu every year.

My LSL team will live and die by goaltending, which is actually elite unlike you jokers above me. Hopefully I'll only need the rest of my roster to do just well enough to win 4 or 5 of the skater categories every week, I'll be relying on young players to step it up a lot either way.

Centers: Little, Barkov, Henrique, Desharnais, Couturier
Wing: Hall, Oshie, Drouin, Plotnikov, Hemsky, Pastrnak, Duclair, Wilson, Reaves, Rinaldo
Defense: Hedman, E. Johnson, Daley, Alzner, Hanifin, Johns (will be dropped immediately, wtf was i thinking)
Goalies: Holtby, Rask

Like I said - Barkov, Pastrnak, Drouin, and Duclair all need to take steps forward. Hanifin and Plotnikov need to prove they can be contributors their first season. All these guys, except for maybe Duclair, are at least somewhat in a position to succeed, so if even one or two of them pan out it will help me a lot. Oshie playing with Ovechkin and Hall hopefully being healthy all year will be a big help as well.

Anyway, I don't think I'll be repeating as champion this year.

Btw, I had to reject your offer but if I end up with three starters and the rest of my team sucks, I'll probably reconsider if you put together a good deal.

That's fine. It's not getting a particularly great goalie, it's getting a goalie that will see play at all

ty sir, you are a gentleman and a scholar. I'm most happy getting Medvedev in the billionth round, because he's at least top 4 quality on the Flyers while most of our picks were fourth liners and healthy scratches and home run swings at that point

Oh I know - but I'm concerned about how much the Wild will actually use Kuemper. They rode Dubnyk hard last year.

This is my fourth year in LSL I think, and normally I'll wait until the 3rd or 4th, but goalie mania went way beyond what it has been in the past few years. I'm pretty sure I'm completely hosed, though.

Use the Schwartz!
1. (12) Erik Karlsson (Ott - D)

3. (52) Anze Kopitar (LA - C)

21. (412) Derek Dorsett (Van - RW)
22. (429) Leo Komarov (Tor - C)
23. (452) Reto Berra (Col - G)

It might have been better if I hadn't gotten swiped on Brian Elliott in the fifth; Jake Allen and three backups does not a winner make. I'm quite happy with the defense and surprisingly OK with the forwards though.

Love my 3rd pairing for a Hits/Blocks league, otherwise definitely wouldn't have Orpik. Keeper league and I grabbed Larkin, Vasilevsky, Gibson, Sprong, and DeKeyser with my last few picks. I was able to slot Gibson into the NA slot when they set him down but now Yahoo has taken the NA away randomly  There's no record of him being re-activated in the roster change log and he's most definitely going to San Diego, so I don't know what the gently caress. Orpik is on IR right now, so I'd really like to pick up a 6th D, but I can't while I have a non-NA player in the NA spot. Fix your poo poo yahoo :argh:
