HHL guys: You may keep (4) players from last year's FINAL roster. If you have kept a player for (3) straight years you cannot keep him again (as in, they've been on your roster for 3 seasons). The keeper cost continues to be their cost from last year + 20% I'll post a list of ineligible keepers soon so everything is clear. Also there was talk about running a dynasty league in the last thread. Is anyone still up for that? I don't think I could run 3 leagues but I would probably play if someone else ran it.

Dandy/zeroodie maybe combine your league? I dunno, there could be enough interest for both.

I might not do auction since we already have an auction keeper, and because in a normal dynasty league you can trade draft picks which rules.

HHL Ineligible Keepers Tyler Seguin P.K. Subban Erik Karlsson -- we may need a ruling on this as Genki has technically had him 2 1/2 seasons (lol someone waived Erik Karlsson). Patrick Kane Nazem Kadri Sergei Bobrovsky Matt Duchene Ryan McDonagh Antti Niemi Ryan Kesler Gabriel Landeskog Jordan Eberle Roberto Luongo Corey Crawford and mine are: Ryan Johansen $2 -> $3 Tyler Johnson $15 -> $18 Filip Forsberg $2 -> $3 Semyon Varlamov $24 -> $29 de: looks like I may have 2 spots in the HHL (you signing back up I assume zeroodie?) and 4 in the LSL. I show Kesler kept over the past two seasons which would mean he would have been on your roster for 3 seasons.

100% McDavid over Monahan. Unless McDavid is hurt he's going to outscore Monahan by 15-20 points imo. Unless you have some whacky points scoring where goals are way more important...even then I'd still probably take McDavid. I like Bishop/Holtby over Price/Dubnyk. You may lose out a little in shutouts but Bishop/Holtby are going to win more games.

Monahan wasn't 18 last year. That was his draft +2 season. I could very easily see Monahan regressing to 50-55 points this year (look at Landeskog's progression) and McDavid going off for 65+. In fact that's what I'd project for them. Monahan might never score 75 (or even 70) points in the NHL. McDavid is going to hit 100 one year. The Landeskog comparison being that just because a player exceeded their junior projections doesn't mean they will continue that trajectory or that their upside should be drastically reconfigured. He's a solid player in the 55-70 point range but probably won't go higher than that. The same will be true for Monahan most likely. Whereas with McDavid his upside is incredible: I'm not sure why we're talking about McDavid in a way that the exceptional shouldn't be expected. The opposite is true. His only recent junior comparisons are Crosby and Kane. T-Bone fucked around with this message at 01:49 on Oct 4, 2015 |

FAAB should be set up now. Pretty much had to go for hits/blocks on D because I spent everything up front and in net, but I like it. Franzen was accidental, he'll probably be dropped.

Technetium posted:I'm pretty sure my offense will be woefully mediocre and a coinflip most weeks (except for PPP maybe?) but PIMS/HITS/FW/Blocks should generally be mine I think and hopefully Schneids is good enough in save percentage/GAA to sacrifice the wins column. Unless its a matchup against Fehr and Balanced then I have no clue what will happen. I like your team quite a bit. We actually play each other week 1. You'll take FW/Hits/PIM, I'll take A/Wins. Blocks are a complete tossup, you've got the edge in goals, I've most likely got the edge in PPP, although that depends a lot on what McDavid/Eichel/Panarin/Nichushkin/Drouin get for PP TOI. GAA/SV% are probably a wash too. +/- is a wash. Should be close.

Do you think those guys will really progress enough in one year to be worth spending one of four keeper slots on? I think they're both at least 2-3 years away from that consideration. A good young forward would seem a better bet.

Should I have more than 4 defensemen or are those slots better kept for backup forwards? I dunno how the math works out since with the setting a lineup every day and the games spaced out like they are. Same goes for goalies, more than 2? League size? Waiver limit? Whats your team look like? Rotation is theoretically the best if the waiver limit is high enough.
