Small Update. New electric choke installed and old bimetal thermostat type tossed in the trash.

Got the leaky transmission pan off and the tranny fluid drained. Looked pretty good as far as transmission fluid goes just needed a new gasket and I put a magnet in the pan to collect the metal as the old one was gone.

So far I've been working very very slowly at getting a new Painless Performance harness installed. Also bought an electric choke to replace the old heat driven one and bought an original gauge cluster to replace the hacked up job the po had in there. The tale so far is: Replaced the carb, wiring, choke,coil,spark wires and plugs, tore the interior out, drained and refilled the trans fluid with a filter change and new gasket(still leaks). Sorry I've been slammed at work and that leaves me very little time to dig into it. I'm about halfway done with the wiring. Engine bay is 99% done, interior still needs to be worked on but i have all the parts I need.
