Hello Commandos
I haven't done any gameplay videos for a while because there is a heavy downside to making them - you have to play Star Citizen.
So here is a gameplay vid, no bugs as such, just a bit of gameplay.
Also something before that that will really make u think.

I've also tried using that creative license thing so maybe people can see this one :v:

Sins of a Solar Stimpire.

Also, Stimpire soldier basically sounds like a weak version of your standard Deathguard space marine. Take the wounds, but keeps on trucking. Except with your Stimpire footman, it can take the pain but would probably fall apart. Though maybe they would be the organic version of necrons and be able to keep fighting even after being blown in half?

nah the stimpire is so badly and enthusiastically written that it becomes harmless. It's an accidental parody and is legitimately hilarious as long as you keep it turned up to 11 at all times (it being the pain eternator in this case)

You need a cat.

The cat will un-haunt the ram. Then spaceships work again, if the haunting isn't severe.

That reminds me of this guy I used to work with who fell for something similar. Every time we worked together, he would tell me about this girl he was talking to online. Allegedly, she was a trust fund baby who lived in Hawaii, rode a motorcycle, taught ballet, and lived in a two million dollar bungalow on the beach. He only had two pictures of her and didn't have her phone number because, supposedly, the last guy she gave her number to died in Iraq, and she didn't want to go through that heartbreak again.

The girl also conveniently could never meet him in person because something always came up with her sister. The whole situation had gone on for about a year and a half by the time he told me about it, to my predictable response of "WTF is wrong with you OF COURSE it's some forty-year-old gay dude in a basement or something." We argued about it, but after one too many transparent excuses for why she couldn't come and visit him in person, he agreed that something was screwy and ended it.

He almost immediately began dating one of our coworkers, which was another disaster, but at least she was real.

The ONLY difference between that story and the Ukrainian bride scam/Star Citizen is that he didn't send her lots and lots of money. In retrospect, he probably did but didn't bother to mention that part of the story to me.

edit: The best part was how he would talk about how she was going to give him an allowance out of her trust fund after they got married and how he was going to buy an Aston Martin. That for some reason, out of all the stupid details of this story, sticks out to me the most. It reminds me a lot of white knights and all the poo poo they think they're going to do when the girl comes from Hawaii to meet them game ships.

Truth. You really can lead yourself to believe anything if you want it enough.

I think ultimately, for something to be officially labeled and recognized as a scam, there has to be intent. I fully believe that Chris and his followers are convinced they can deliver, because they're too stupid to think otherwise. However, I'm convinced that other members of his organization are fully aware of what's going on, and I'm not well versed enough in legal matters to understand what happens when the CEO of the company thinks that he's making a product, but another member of the upper echelon is fully aware that he can't deliver. Like, say, his attorney.

I too once believed that he never set out to scam anyone. He really did believe he could pull this off. With $2m.

Then clowns kept giving him money.

He lost the vision.

Then scam became the practice of taking money and making promises you couldn't possibly deliver on; knowing FELACIOUSLY WELL that you couldn't deliver on them.

It is indeed decently written, but that specific part :

Well, look at me today. Twenty-seven years later, I own a half-dozen Reclaimers and a fleet of Freelancers. I have seventy-five pilots working under me, garbage men and women all. They’re like a family, they’re all like me. They must have had that same fateful day too; that day where others slowly pick their dreams away from them, one by one. So I take them in, make sure they’re safe.

Its a pattern we can observe in a lot of high investment backers : The idea that other, less fortunate, will crew or fly their ship and that somehow they have been "cheated" by the life the currently have. Those people don't play for fun, they play for escapism (we all do a little, but it should never be the main reason for it) and CIG seem eager to reinforce that trend.

In the fourth Stimpire, it rains pain. Pain in the form of a raindrop, yes a raindrop made of pain. People who loiter are forced to stand out the the painrain wearing paincoats, which are like raincoats but increase the pain from the painrain by 100 times every half second. People who refuse to watch the loiterers getting painrained have their spleens replaced by a mauve liquid that turns their red blood cells into pain.

People born with genetic insensitivity to pain are subjected to crippling emotional pain through rejection.

I think theres enough Stimpire material to make a table-top game. You would essentially start off as human but as the mission continued, whatever it was, your character may suffer at the hands of the Stimpire. The game is lost when your character either dies or goes insane from everything they have to endure. Though if your character does go insane, they should actually become an encounter/enemy that the other party members have to deal with as they venture onward.

Also, aren't there other empires in the Stimpire setting? Wouldn't the Stimpire have agents working against those other factions? You could also play as a Stimpire agent or something of that sort running missions.
