It's an artifact that can be used on one of the minor worlds to activate a flashback sequence (text-only).

The artifact is also on Eletania, home of the monkey quest. Probably one of the worst planets in the side planets in the game.

shadows and lighting for this engine just did not agree with the PS3, we are going to see that shadowing a few more times at least.

Also I learned yesterday that you can not recruit Garrus, similar to not going to Artemis Tau to rescue Liara. Anyone done that before?

Trivia: if you don't recruit Garrus and do Virmire before you get Liara, Wrex will always stand down. Otherwise you'd need to do the last section with Tali only.

SHEPARD I'M OVER HERE :byodood:

The worst part about Jacob is that he's completely worthless on his own loyalty mission because you fight a ton of robots which fire/pull does nothing on for any difficulty setting other than babby.

I'll never quite forgive the later games for nerfing adepts, but that's just one more thing to throw onto the pile.

They seem to be fine in ME3, but I remember doing an Insanity run as an Adept in ME2 and it was painful, spamming Warp (and Overload/Shield Drain from whoever had that skill) with potshots. Just doing Kasumi's loyalty mission to get the nice SMG took forever.

I like how the first time you're probably going to use the mako, they make you go on a map with insta kill lava.

Well, it's glowing red and there's a pretty obvious road. It's better than Noveria (which has turrets and lots more geth - though no Colossus), maybe Feros assuming it's as easy to drive off the bridge as it looks.

I still fell in the first time though :v:

Zaeed is worth it just for the scenes with him and Garrus booby-trapping the apartment in Citadel.

My favorite thing about Zaeed is how people put him in charge of the fire team or send him to escort the crew, and then it's a total surprise to them when everyone gets killed. It would be even better if everyone but Zaeed died in those situations, but oh well.

Bioware should have added an easter egg, if you talk to Zaeed after he leads the fire team/escorts the crew he talks about how he was the only one who came back alive.

well this is a line between acknowledging the galaxy is run by selfish assholes so being one is just par of the course

But if that were true, the Turians would deny the Reapers exist, the Asari would be keeping all this advanced technology secret, and the Salarians would still be doing dumb poo poo like uplifting species even while defending the genophage.

Is there anyone that can actually explain why if you shoot a Krogan or a Geth Destroyer just right they charge at you at the speed of light and won't leave you alone until either of you are dead?

So you can cast Lift and watch them fly over you and off into the sunset.

See I was thinking about that the other week. If Bioware actually planned ahead, the collector base at the tail end of ME2 would have been a great opportunity to snag plans for a crucible-like weapon in a much more elegant manner. One of the secondary Collector objectives could have been scouring the galaxy for prothean artifacts, beacons and the like and inside the base you could have found a whole stockpile of them, a thorough scan of which could have revealed tangible, if still theoretical, plans for anti-reaper weaponry that the protheans developed when it was too late that the Collectors were trying to destroy evidence of. Or just war analysis data wherein protheans discovered a potential Achilles heel to smite these supposedly neigh-invincible cuttlefish. Or some other macguffin ultimately found where the reapers didn't expect penetration. Something like that would have been far more elegant than pushing all that onto a discovery on mars found moments after the beginning the reaper invasion-proper at the start of ME3.

ME2 did end with Shepard looking at blueprints of a Reaper, so that may have been the original plan.

It's also annoying since it means that you can't really get all the fun Legion interactions unless you plan it very well, also because the 360 disc size was too small.

You can use Gibbed to add Legion once you get control of the Normandy and bring him to all the missions since he has dialogue for everything.

What happens if you bring him on his own recruitment mission?

I didn't try, I disabled him in case the game broke. But when I got him back, he was still loyal and more importantly still had the Widow.

Legion + Widow in early game is fun, especially if you are an Infiltrator and bring another sniper. Death from afar :zaeed:

Yeah, same with Miranda volunteering for barrier duty when she's one of the worst for the job, and guarantees the fireteam's survival if she's in charge of it.

If they had just given her warp instead of pull, she would have been worth a drat. Unfortunately during ME2's dev they were still operating under the assumption that Pull was good.

Narratively, though, Jack is your party's most powerful biotic.
