I hate to say this, but I was turned on (no pun intended) to this fact when I was watching a relatively-recent porno and they shot some of the photo model prologue bits with a drone: there was a couple high angle shots of the pornstar lounging at the pool and I was wondering if they actually got a crane or a helicopter until I saw the shadow of a quadrotor hovering at the edge of the frame.

If they're employing quadrotors in porn, then it's likely a lot of people are using them for aerial or crane shots nowadays, especially since they're cheap enough for independent filmmakers now.

I love The Neverending Story, and yet somehow this is the first time I've heard that they made another sequel. The second one is just so bad.

I feel like I hear the "of all the gin joints..." line parodied or just used verbatim in TV/film constantly, definitely more than "play it again Sam". That and "are you taking to me?", which I most recently saw in Antman.

Saw the trailer for this before Deadpool, the concept looks really cool but I started feeling motion sickness about 30 seconds into it. :/ May have just been sitting too close to the screen.

I guess the BBC made a TV series out of it in the nineties, but I'm surprised no one has ever attempted to make a film or films out of Mary Stewart's The Crystal Cave series. You've got Merlin, King Arthur, it's a YA series before YA was a thing, you can film it all back to back and get a trilogy. Bam. Success.

Then again I haven't read the books since I was probably 14, maybe they don't hold up as much as I remember.

I always felt bad about Adrian Paul's career after Highlander TV. Dude seemed so talented, good looking, and clearly had the martial arts skills to be more than just a lovely supporting actor in terrible sci-fi/fantasy DTV for the next 16 years. At least he's still getting work, I guess.

If I squint, I can see him as Batou. Maybe.

I can see why some people might not want to see these, they can be a bit spoilery, but as a GitS fan I find them pretty interesting. Unironically looking forward to the live action version.

Yep, can't find a clip of it but that bit of the cop kicking the kiddie pool off the guy was so popular it made it into the episode intro segment for at least the last 10-15 seasons.

In some stories he has Guinevere torn apart by dogs.

He's generally in the books kind of a idiot and super naive. Like he's not portrayed well at all in the pre Vulgate cycle. He actually kills his son Amr when he is mentioned by Monmouth.

Also TH White and Tennyson , and Malory place him in like 1200 ad when him the original texts he is around 530 to 580 ad.

I'll probably go to my grave waiting for a film adaptation of Mary Stewart's The Crystal Cave series.
