why is annapurna so dangerous? I know that K2 has the bottleneck which results in most of the deaths

Pretty much. He's climbed the north face of Eiger 40+ times at this point so they know where to place cameras and when/where to do flyovers.

for records yeah but what about when its supposedly the case of someone doing their first climb or whatever? is that just not true and they practice it a bunch and film it. What do they use for the side of the mountain shots? A helicopter and a long distance lens?

Ueli Steck's videos are mental. For some reason I never think of mountaineers just scaling a wall like rock climbers

climbing vinson seems like it would give better bragging rights in that you've both climbed the biggest mountain on antarctica and also been to there. it seems a lot easier for the same cost too

rally b was even more mental for it. unsurprisingly it didn't last long before it got cancelled. skip to 1:42 for a very close miss. or 2:20 for a full crowd on the road running out of the way

someone should make a new thread. are there any mountains that are unclimbed because they just kill everyone as opposed to people aren't allowed to climb them?

Jose
